Colosseum Dental Group is lead by an experienced and devoted team with state-of-the-art dentistry at the heart of their interests.

Patrick De Maeseneire has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2016. Since May 2023, he has also served as CEO of the Colosseum Dental Group.

Before joining Colosseum Dental, Patrick served as Chief Executive Officer of Jacobs Holding AG since November 2015. Besides his function as CEO, he also served as Chairman of the Board of the Jacobs Holding portfolio companies, Barry Callebaut, Cognita and Colosseum Dental. Before joining Jacobs Holding, Patrick was CEO of the Adecco group, the largest staffing company in the world, and of Barry Callebaut. Under his leadership, Barry Callebaut started its successful global expansion, which ultimately turned it into the global leader in chocolate and cocoa that it is today. He started his professional career at Arthur Andersen Consulting, followed by executive positions at Wang, Apple and Sun International.

Patrick holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Engineering from the Solvay Business School of Brussels University (VUB), and a special license in marketing management from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, Belgium. Patrick also completed studies in Business Management at the London Business School and INSEAD.

Daniel Fehr joined in 2018.

He spent 10 years with Barry Callebaut, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa, another portfolio company of Jacobs Holding. Daniel served in various finance leadership positions, most recently as Head of Group Tax. While at Barry Callebaut, he also built and led the regional treasury and tax function in Malaysia and Singapore, respectively. Previous to his work at Barry Callebaut, Daniel was with PwC for 8 years, working for the Swiss and the UK firm in their assurance and advisory services.

Daniel is a Swiss Chartered Accountant and a Swiss Certified Trustee.

Raoul joined in 2020.

Raoul has relevant sector experience from Auris Medical, a Nasdaq-listed Swiss biopharmaceutical company, as General Counsel & Company Secretary holding also the responsibility for HR and Administration. Previously, Raoul acted as Senior Counsel & Company Secretary of NYSE-listed Transocean Partners based out of London and Aberdeen, where he was part of the IPO team and responsible for setting-up the legal function within the group. Most recently, Raoul held the position of Deputy Head Legal & Company Secretary in VFS Global, a private equity-owned global travel industry corporation. Before moving into in-house roles, Raoul was an attorney in a top-tier law firm in Zurich. 

Raoul holds a Master of Law from the University of Fribourg and a Doctor iuris from the University of Berne and is admitted to the Bar in the Canton of Zurich.

Jarkko joined Oral Hammaslääkärit as COO at the position of Commercial Director for Scandinavia and the Baltics in GlaxoSmithKline.

Jarkko has extensive management experience in the field of private health care services and the pharmaceutical industry. During his career, he has worked as CEO of Pihlajalinna Dextra Fertility Clinic and the Director of the company´s private health care services and insurance business. He also holds various chairs in the Board of Directors of diverse health care companies.

Jarkko Jokinen has an MBA in social and health management and studies on general management in the Tampere University of Applied Sciences and on marketing in Henley Business School.

Malin Schmidt joined as CEO of Smile Tandvård in February 2017.

Prior to joining Colosseum Smile Group, Malin held various managerial positions within education for the past 13 years. For 10 years Malin worked for the EF Education group, building chains of school networks in China, Indonesia and Russia. Her focus has always been on growth, expansion strategy as well as sales, marketing and HR. Before entering education Malin started out as a management consultant for a smaller boutique firm in Sweden.

Malin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Gothenburg School of Economics in Sweden.

Dr Farzeela Rupani joined CDG from CDUK in 2023.

Farzeela is a GDP by background interested in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics, having qualified in 2006 from Kings College London. Following her Vocational Training year, she worked in mixed practices across north London and Hertfordshire with high NHS delivery commitments.

Farzeela’s interest in business management, health policy and leadership, led her to embark on an MSc in International Health Management, leading to a healthcare consulting role at KPMG. She worked with different NHS trusts to improve operations and quality and make efficiency savings whilst being mindful of the clinical impact. Farzeela subsequently took on a role at the GDC within Fitness to Practise, initially as an Investigating Committee member and later as a Clinical Case Examiner.

Prior to joining Colosseum Dental UK, Farzeela advised and sat on the Senior Leadership Team of a major dental supplier. Additionally, she has extensive teaching and mentoring experience, having taught BDS undergraduates, which she is really passionate about. 

Tim is the Chief Executive Officer at Jacobs Holding. Before this, he served as a partner in private equity at KKR for seven years, ultimately becoming Co-CEO of their democratized private equity business. Prior to KKR, Tim was a managing director at Advent International for 18 years. He began his career in investment banking at CSFB and Morgan Grenfell.

Tim holds an MA from the University of Cambridge and a Master's in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Philippe is Co-Chairman of Jacobs Holding AG – the majority shareholder of Colosseum Dental Group and Executive Chairman of Telemos Capital.

Philippe Jacobs has been an Investment Director at Aalto Invest focusing on the firm’s public equity investments and previously worked at the Global Industrials Group in the Investment Banking Division of Royal Bank of Scotland and also at UBS AG in London and Zurich.

Philippe holds an M.Sc. in Finance from Imperial College Business School in Britain and Bachelor of Arts HSG in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen. Besides, he has completed a course at the FESCO International Training Center in Shanghai in Chinese language and culture.

Alan Hippe was appointed to the Board of Directors of Colosseum Dental Group and North American Dental Group in June of 2019.

Dr Alan Hippe is currently the Chief Financial and Information Officer at Roche in Switzerland since 2011. He has served on the regulatory board of the Swiss stock exchange, SIX, since 2018. Previously, he served on the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp and as a Member of the Board and Head of the Audit Committee of Voith GmbH, a family-owned industrial business in Germany.

Dr. Hippe earned a degree with distinction in business administration from the University of Mannheim and graduated in 1996 with a PhD from the University of Mainz.

Michael T. Doyle was appointed to the Board of Directors of Colosseum Dental Group and North American Dental Group in 2020.

Michael is the founder and CEO of MD Healthcare Partners – a private investment firm that delivers long-term financial and operational support to healthcare providers. He also serves as CEO of the Florida Orthopaedic Institute and Gastro MD.

He previously served as co-founder and CEO of Surgery Partners (NASDAQ: SGRY) – a publicly-traded national company with over 160 locations in over 30 states. Before that, Michael spent more than a decade in various leadership positions, including Senior Vice President of Operations, at HealthSouth (Encompass Health, NASDAQ: EHC).

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and a Master of Business, Administration from Troy State University in Alabama.

Philippe Costeletos has joined the Board of Colosseum Dental in November 2023. 

Philippe is the founder of SCP, an investment holding focused on building long-term investments platforms, and has over three decades of private investment and board governance experience in private and public companies across several investment geographies and sectors, including Health Care.

Philippe was formerly Chairman of International of Colony Capital and a Senior Advisor of the Blackstone Group. Previously, he was Head of Europe at TPG Capital and a member of TPG’s Global Management and Investment Committees. Prior to that, Philippe was a Member of the Management Committee at Investcorp and he held positions at JP Morgan Capital (JP Morgan’s Private Equity Group) and Morgan Stanley.

Philippe holds a BA in Mathematics from Yale University and received an MBA from Columbia University.

Jos Lamers joined the Colosseum Board of Directors in July 2024.

He served as the CEO of UNILABS from 2013 to 2019 and continued his leadership as Executive Chairman from 2019 to 2022. Since 2022, he has been acting as a Senior Advisor to AP Moller Holdings. In 2024, Jos also joined the Board of Jacobs Holding AG.

Before he joined Unilabs, he served as the CEO at Nucletron, growing the business substantially. 

Furthermore, Jos is a senior advisor, investor and board member in various other private equity settings (a.o. CVC, APAX).

Jos holds a degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Wageningen.
 

Claude Streit joined Colosseum Dental UK in January 2019. In 2024, he joined Colosseum France.

Claude previously spent 7 years in senior finance leadership roles at Hirslanden - the leading private acute care hospital group in Switzerland. Hirslanden is part of Mediclinic International, an international private healthcare services group listed on the London Stock Exchange (“LSE”).

During his tenure as Head of Group Controlling and Business Unit Financial Management and Member of the Operations Committee, he led the organisational transformation from a group of independent hospitals to a highly integrated hospital group. He was instrumental in building the new financial setup of Hirslanden, including a new Enterprise Resource Planning system that provides highly integrated value flows across functions. Furthermore, he established a reputation for aligning financial and business metrics to support business strategy and high growth.

Claude started his career in consulting. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, majoring in Finance, Accounting and Reporting. Outside work, Claude loves to travel, spend time outdoors and enjoys running and skiing.

Mia Grundstrøm is appointed as CEO of Colosseum Tannlege and Head of Colosseum Norway as of the 15th of August 2020.

Mia comes from the health care industry, Aleris Helse AS, where she has worked since 2007 as CFO, Deputy CEO and CEO for the past few years. She has extensive experience in service development through innovation and customer experience as well as in project management, M&A and digitalization.

Mia holds a degree in economics from BI Business School.

Peter joins Colosseum from Jacobs Holding, where he was responsible for developing Colosseum Dental Group globally but, above all, in the repositioning and leadership of the Group's Italian entities. Peter has a deep knowledge of the Italian market and has gained significant knowledge of the dental services sector. In recent years, Peter has focused on preparing Odontosalute for its next growth phase and has led the acquisitions of Mirò and Dentalcoop. Before joining Jacobs Holding, Peter worked for the consulting firm Bain & Company, where he led complex transformation programs across multiple industries.

Michel Portmann joined in 2021. 

Michel joins from JP Morgan, where he most recently held the position of Executive Director Investment Banking and Head of M&A Switzerland. In his 13 years of Investment Banking, Michel gained significant experience in identifying new business opportunities, originating and executing M&A and corporate finance across a broad set of international transactions.

Patrick Landeau joined in 2019.

Patrick has in his former roles been responsible for applying employee management solutions for the fulfilment of business objectives, driving profitable growth of business lines, optimising business models and market intelligence as well as leading sales, revenue growth and profitability in the Adecco Group as SVP, Global Practice Leader & Candidates Associate Management and Onsite Operations; as VP, Operational Excellence and Business Development; and in Adecco Spain as National Sales Director.

Patrick holds a DESCAF (BA Degree) from the Pau Graduate School of Business and has graduated from the IMD Leadership Program.

Sebastien Jarp joined CDG as Group Head of Finance in 2022. 

Sebastien is a highly seasoned FP&A lead with exposure in multinational businesses in various industries. He was the EU FP&A Lead at Amazon, most recently responsible for financial planning for EU marketplaces across 18 product categories. He also held the Finance Lead position at Sonova Group in their Audiological Care business unit, responsible for FP&A processes and leading from the finance side the set-up and implementation of Dynamics 365 ERP/CRM across Sonova’s hearing aid clinics. He held further positions at Procter & Gamble EMEA and Inditex Group, leading business controlling and reporting activities in various fields such as product supply finance, category finance and procurement.

Sebastien holds an MA in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva and a postgraduate degree in European & International Economic Law from the University of Lausanne.
